PROSPECT TOWER & EYRIE - PHASE 4 The final phase is proposed to be the installation of a steel spiral staircase into the interior of the tower. This will not only assist ongoing inspection and maintenance of the tower but also provide a viewing platform with views through the lancet windows in all directions. Funding Challenges We have engaged with building and a architectural experts who estimate the cost of this project to be in the region of €300,000 to €400,000.This is due to the current state of the building and cost of making the building structurally safe in the initial stages. Monivea Heritage Association come under the umbrella of Monivea Community council Limited. We are endeavouring to explore funding channels for this project. CONSERVATION WORKS – PHASE 2 This initial phase of enabling works will allow works to the remaining walls to the nave including the west gable to proceed. COMMUNITY GARDEN - PHASE 3 To improve access and community engagement we propose that the church interior would be used as a walled garden. This is to be developed and managed as a community project.
