Lonnaithe i gcroílár Bhaile Átha an Rí, is scoil chomhoideachais, ilchreidmheach í Gaelscoil Riada, a chuireann oideachas ar ardchaighdeán ar fáil trí mheán na Gaeilge. Located in Athenry, Gaelscoil Riada is a co educational, multi-denominational primary school providing a high standard of education through the medium of Irish. We focus on fostering a love for Gaeilge, promoting Irish culture, and ensuring children reach their full potential in a supportive environment. Our school is proud to place wellbeing at the heart of all we do, creating an inclusive space where all students are valued. We also offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities, enriching student experiences beyond the classroom. Families benefit from an onsite Irish medium preschool – An Teach Spraoi Naíonra, a breakfast club, and our after-school service – gCroí Óg, providing flexible and convenient options for busy parents, all on one campus. Our campus also houses Coláiste an Eachréidh, an Irish-medium secondary school, providing pupils with a seamless transition from primary to secondary school. While currently operating in temporary accommodation, work on our new, purpose built campus will begin in the new year. An Open Day will take place in January, offering prospective parents and children the chance to explore the school, meet the staff, and experience the warm, welcoming atmosphere of Gaelscoil Riada. In the meantime, the school warmly invites the wider community to join them for their Aonach na Nollag / Christmas Fair on Friday, 12th December, in the school Halla from 12:30–2:30pm. The fair will feature Christmas crafts, a cake sale, a raffle, agus carúil ó chór na scoile—along with plenty of festive cheer. It promises to be fun for all ages and a wonderful way to embrace the Christmas spirit. Enrolment for the 2026/27 school year is now open.
