Galway - All-Ireland Senior Camogie Champions Three Athenry players win All-Ireland Medals

Galway secured their fifth O’Duffy Cup Camogie triumph after an epic victory over Cork at Croke Park and ended the Leesiders bid for a three in a row of titles with a superb team performance. Galway brought a ferocious effort and played with tremendous intensity from the outset. The Tribeswomen put Cork on the back foot and stopped them from settling into their usual pattern of play. None more so than Athenry’s pair of Dervla Higgins , who was outstanding throughout, and all six backs who produced a unified display from start to finish.
